"Hot Plate" at Phoenix Brighton

HOT PLATE is an exhibition of international printmaking, but not in a way thats nice and safe. These printmakers like to show their work on the floor and make it out of metal and project in the context of street culture. Not what you expected right?

This show at Phoenix Brighton is an attempt to physically and metaphorically break away from the traditional framed, crafts-eye-view of printmaking and suggest its alternate meanings within the arts.

There are lots of projects going on around the show, including a symposium and a chance to see work being created by the Dutch printer Stefan Hoffmann.

Runs 3rd July to 15h August.
